Effective date: March 8, 2023 Public Water System: Town of Terry  Located in: Hinds County Customers affected: This affects approximately 1,305 customers who are served by the Town of Terry  in Hinds County. Town of Terry  lifted the precautionary “Boil-Water Alert” for customers who get their drinking water from their water system in Hinds County. The water system has been notified that the Boil Water Alert is released based on the Mississippi Department of Health Public Health Laboratory sample results. When your Boil-Water Alert is lifted Flush faucets for a total of ten (10) minutes to introduce system water throughout house plumbing. Water Rate Increase
Town of TerryTerry Board of Aldermen met on September 6, 2022 and passed rate increases for water and sewer. The base rate for water will increase $5.00 (from $23.50 to $28.50) and sewer rates will increase $15.20 (from $10.00 to $25.20). These rates will become effective January 1, 2023.
