The bookkeeper position creates financial transactions and creates financial reports from that information. The creation of financial transactions includes posting information to accounting journals or accounting software from such source documents as invoices to customers, cash receipts, and supplier invoices. The bookkeeper also reconciles accounts to ensure their accuracy. As a financial bookkeeper, the main role is to keep an official track of company spending so when it comes to filing accounts there is an accurate trail of all the outgoings. Notice of Increased Water/Sewer/Garbage Rates
NOTICE OF INCREASED WATER/SEWER/GARBAGE RATES AND CHARGES EFFECTIVE FOR WATER/SEWER/GARBAGE BILLED IN JANUARY 2019 Dear Customer, The Town met with representatives from the Mississippi State University Extension Service to review the existing rates and future needs for the Town's water, sewer and garbage services. The recommendation was to increase rates to meet the Town's needs. The Town has not had a rate increase in over a decade. The rate increases are related to wholesalers raising their rates as they work to obtain new and more reliable supplies and the need to build a new and more reliable infrastructure. An overall rate increase was approved by the Board to begin January 1, 2019 due to higher costs from suppliers and to accommodate other infrastructure needs.
